The container loader in 1/500 scale has been a staple of the Herpa range of airport accessories for several years. We have now decided to change the basic color to a common white basic color that can be found on next to all continents. This set contains two detailed container loading vehicles. The loading platforms can be assembled at different heights so that these fit to different airplane types or can be displayed in the lowered driving position.

The Qatar Amiri Flight operates on-demand flights on behalf of government officials as well as the royal family of Qatar. It’s fleet of ten aircraft include smaller aircraft such as a Gulfstream and Airbus A319, but also much larger aircraft such as the Boeing 747-8 and also Airbus’s ultra-long range variant of its successful long-haul A340 family, the A340-500. The A340-500 turned out be the version with the lowest demand, with just 34 out of the in total 380 aircraft produced over all A340 variants. No airline operates the A340-500 commercially today, but it remains popular for government use due to its performance.

The Turkish Government operates a small fleet of aircraft with VIP interior for high-ranking government officials and the head of state. Among the aircraft is a single Airbus A340-500 in the national colors of red and white. The 500 series was the ultra-long range variant of the Airbus A340 family of widebody aircraft. Although never achieving success with commercial airlines, only 34 aircraft were built on total, the aircraft with its long range proves popular for governmental use to this day.

Die A330-Familie war fast zwei Jahrzehnte lang ein wichtiger Pfeiler der Lufthansa-Flotte. Langsam aber sicher werden die verbleibenden A330-300 durch Flugzeuge der neuen Generation wie die Boeing 787 und den Airbus A350 ersetzt. Die derzeit noch verbleibenden sieben Flugzeuge, darunter die nach der Stadt Kassel benannte D-AIKS, die jüngste der verbleibenden A330, sollen an andere Fluggesellschaften innerhalb der Lufthansa Group übertragen werden, höchstwahrscheinlich an Discover Airlines und Brussels Airlines. With the release of this Airbus A330, Herpa is closing a gap in the series of Lufthansa models in the carrier’s current livery. The A330 family had been an important pillar in Lufthansa’s fleet for next to two decades. Slowly but steadily the remaining A330-300s are being replaced by new-generation aircraft such as the Boeing 787s and Airbus A350s. The currently remaining seven aircraft, including D-AIKS named for the city of Kassel and the youngest of the remaining A330s, are to be transferred to other airlines inside the Lufthansa Group, most probably Discover Airlines and Brussels Airlines.

To mark the 25th anniversary of its aid organization, the Lufthansa Group has given an Airbus A321neo a special livery: the A321neo, registered as D-AIEP, features 297 colorful handprints symbolizing donations from supporters. Thai Airways hat diese Lackierung auf zwei Airbus A350-Flugzeuge aufgebracht, von denen eines nun als limitierte Auflage im Maßstab 1:500 erscheint.
